FANDOM MONTH STILL CONTINUES!!
It's now the third week in a row of weekly Nice Guy homages to genre programming. This week, everyone's favorite genre show gets a nod, as we pay tribute to Star Trek with a strip, some new home page art, and a wallpaper based on said art in the Downloads section. Hope you all enjoy. Hey, Kris! Mr. Spock accidentally says "Scotty, beam me out on a couch!" Okay, guess you had to be me, Tim or Kris to find that funny...
CON BOUND !
This is a really short one, folks, because we're only days away from getting stuffed into Tim's Seabring with all our Nice Guy booty and heading down to San Diego for the 2004 Comic-Con International. In fact, if all goes right, your next NG update, due on 7/23, should be coming to you LIVE from that same Con. I'm taking the laptop down with me, and HOPEFULLY everything goes smoothly to let me update the site. And I hope to have a live Con report for you to let you know what's happening on the first couple of days of the action. Don't know if I'll have time to do part 1 of the Con photo gallery but I'll give it a shot, for sure.
Oh, hey, and it's even easy to find us! We know where we're going to be now. The Con people put together the booth and table assignments and now everyone knows where they're going to be stationed in the convention center, including your good friends at Fool Court Press. We'll be at table M6 in the Small Press Pavilion, which is conveniently located at the big set of doors that goes to the escalators and elevators that take people to and from both the food court level and all the meeting rooms where the panels and films and stuff happen. That means lotsa foot traffic, baby! Yeah! Here's how to find us:

Man, is this Con thing ever getting big. For those of you out there who are Stargate SG:1 fans like me and Tim (and most people we know), the whole freaking cast of both the original show AND the new Stargate: Atlantis series are showing up. And there's even a "Dead Like Me" panel going on with stars Ellen Muth and Callum Blue. I'm SO there! That's one of my favorite shows ever, and I just started getting my Sacramento boys turned on to it now that I'm back in town. Plus Joss freaking Whedon!!! My creative hero!!! He's supposed to be showing up with "surprise guest stars" from his upcoming film "Serenity", based on the greatest TV show of all TIME..."Firefly". If none of this means anything to you, fine...Keanu's going to be there. Happy now? Yes, he's an F...B...I...agent, in case you didn't know. Keanu will be there pimping his new film, "Constantine", which is based on a comic, which, ironically, most fans of HATE the idea of Keanu being in the movie adaptation of. This should be interesting. I don't know where I think I'm going to get all the time to go see this stuff, though...Tim and I will be stuck behind our table all day for all four days...and loving every minute of it, I'm sure. We're busy getting all the last-minute stuff done (flyers, the table skirt, etc). It's going to be last-minute panic time this weekend...but it'll all be worth it if it goes off right. This is the big one. The biggest comic convention in the world. Got to be able to make at least a FEW fans, right? Right? I'm on my patio right now and my table out here is plastic. Does knocking on plastic count?
